Sami Ajaltouni

Sami is a Senior Consultant for the Public Procurement Project in Lebanon, financed by the World Bank. 

Prior to taking this assignment he was managing and directing mega projects in the construction field in his capacity of Project Director and Operations Managerworking for international contractors and global project management firmsunder FIDIC EPC, Design-Build and Lump Sum contracts. 

He held senior management positions with direct involvement in business development, drafting business plans, strategic planning, feasibility studies, issuing executive reports and authoring operational procedures and manuals. 

He managed major projects through the full construction cycle from inception to hand over, including design management, budgeting, packaging strategy, tender process, construction field operations, project controls including earned-value management, change management and project delivery. His hands-on field experience spans airports infrastructure, civil and building works for Oil & Gaslarge scale mixed-use developments and hotels.  

In his role of proposal leader and bid director Sami gained an intimate knowledge of the tendering and procurement processes with private and institutional organizations. 

Sami holds a degree in Civil Engineering from Ecole Supérieure d’Ingénieurs de Beyrouth and an International MBA from Institut Supérieur de Gestion – Paris. He speaks English, French and Arabic.
