As Chair of Siren Associates, Jonathan is responsible for overseeing strategy implementation and good governance.

He is also an international policing, governance and change management consultant with over 15 years of experience in the Middle East and over 30 years of operational policing and military experience at a senior level.

Based predominantly in Beirut and Amman since Siren’s inception, he has led the company’s projects in Lebanon and Jordan and has also worked in Yemen.

Prior to founding Siren, Jonathan acted as Security and Police Adviser to the EU Special Representative to the Middle East Peace Process and was responsible for guiding the formation of the EU’s policing mission in the Palestinian Territories (EUPOL COPPS), serving as its first Head of Mission in 2005 and 2006.

He holds a masters degree in Organisational Behaviour, an undergraduate degree in Development Studies, and a Diploma in Criminology and Police Studies from Cambridge University.

In 2015 Jonathan was appointed MBE  for “Services to stability in the Middle East”.
