About Siren Analytics

Siren Analytics – a joint venture between Siren Associates and CME offshore – is a data driven management solution builder. We work collaboratively with public and private sector clients from design to implementation to produce data intelligence that helps decision makers understand, predict and ultimately change their operating environment. We focus on building bespoke and sustainable tools, either acting as an in-house team or training existing personnel. All of our work is underpinned by a philosophy of client-centeredness.

The Job

Siren Analytics seeks to hire a Business Development Lead as part of a growing team, to achieve its growing business objectives at a regional and an international level.

While reporting to the Business Development Manager, you will analyse the market to explore new business opportunities from the private, public, and NGO sectors, do the needed SWOT analyses, identify organisational needs that may be addressed by Siren Analytics to sustain and develop its competitive niche in the MENA region, and set priorities. You will also contribute to develop the needed communication portfolio in support of the business development objectives.

You will contribute to cultivating the company clients’ base, by mapping and monitoring the environment in terms of potential clients, donors, partners, thematic areas, and geographies, and will be in charge of the quality design and timely submission of presentations, formal tenders, expression of interests, bid components, concept notes, budgets and proposal packages, in full compliance with the requirements. Where tenders are successful, you will support all aspects of the project set up.

You will establish and maintain the best professional relationships with existing and potential clients, to understand and answer their evolving business needs, and accompany them in accordance with Siren Analytics’ code of conduct and client-centeredness approach.

You will be working with and interacting with the Siren Analytics and CME teams, in order to achieve the business goals and support the organisation’s mission.

Person Specification

Qualifications

We are looking to recruit a brilliant university graduate, preferably an engineer with a strong background in technology who has at least 5 years of professional experience, 2 of which at least  in business development and project design at the programmatic and financial levels.

To be successful in this role we are looking for an ethical, presentable and self-motivated person, with initiative, strong dynamism, very good inter-personal skills and collaborative spirit, strong coordination and follow-up, excellent time management and problem-solving skills. The candidate should also have the ability to facilitate and deliver presentations at high level in English or Arabic with an excellent ability to write proposals, reports, briefing papers and research in English. Fluency in English and Arabic (speaking and writing) is a must. French is a plus. Good knowledge of the context of Lebanon and the MENA region is needed.

*Occasional travel to countries in MENA region may be required.
